Human trafficking is the second largest organized crime industry in the world. Annually, over 600,000 are trafficked internationally, while more than 14,500 are trafficked through out the US in a year.
Just last year, Amber Barron saw a news article on the modern slave trade and she was touched. The 28-year-old felt compelled by God to leave her job and form Freedom’s Promise to help the victims of human trafficking, particularly the young women and girls who are sold into the sex slave market.

Ah, the joys of open borders and the blending in of national identities.

This is indeed sad. However, this would still be happening even with closed borders. The very presence of open borders and free trade systems merely makes it easier to shine a bright light on this phenomena.

S, The open borders allows the crime to be carried out, and then, after the fact, the results come to light. But I would think with tougher border controls, the movement of said "slaves" for lack of a better word, would be slowed. Also, real penalties for the bastards that operate such non-sense(talking about the sex slave trade here, not the culturally accepted for thousands of years traditions of some regions)has to severe.
