I see you took my advice about finally posting a criticism of Senator McCain. Oh, I forgot, you're in the tank for him now. Off limits. Ah well, you can't teach old dogs new tricks.
I see you failed to take my challenge and mount any kind of decent criticism of McCain. It's more fun to make fun of Obama anyway ;)
"I see you failed to take my challenge and mount any kind of decent criticism of McCain."
Make a post then. I'll be glad to meet your challenge.
OMG! Seeker, check this out. Rachael Maddow and Joe Scarborough were having the very same conversation that we are about John McCain and guilt by association. Scarborough walked off the set in a huff! You can hear him removing his microphone before the segment is over. See, when a democrat turns the tables with this guilt by association BS on their messiah McCain, republicans throw a tantrum!
She's now my favorite pundit!
He has risen.
i don't know scarboro, but obviously, he's not up to the task. answers to maddows claims are easy.
1. the criticisms of obama ARE partly being pushed by those who merely want to assassinate his character, but there are also some legitimate reasons to discuss these issues, which libs deny, including
– how obama's close relationships reveal his possible views beyond his almost saintly veneer
– association with farrakan the hateful, muslim anti-semite (redundant)
– a pattern of anti-american sentiment that goes beyond 'loving criticism' in those very close to obama, including his mentor Wright and his wife
2. the idea that somehow libs have taken the high road by not doing the same with mccain is laughable, for many reasons
– been to kos lately?
– since when has either party EVER not taken every chance to pillory the opponent?
– remember the lobbyist that mccain was accused of having an affair with, or whatever? Someone brought that up (couldnt' be the noble liberals ;), but it had no substance, so it just disappeared.
3. The reason these problems of Obama's have persisted is not because the libs have somehow exercised restraint, but because the issues surrounding obama actually have substance and importance, and people are interested in them because they are not just contrived or spun by the opposition.
The reason these are more important than the sexual dalliances of one of McCain's political fundraisers or coordinators is
– the accusations against obama reflect on his IDEOLOGY, particularly racism, not his association with idiots with sexual problems
– mccain did not know about his coordinator's issues, and when he did, wansn't the dude dismissed? By comparison, Obama knows about the racist and terrorist sentiments of his friends, and is still friends with them. And apathy towards racism is important. I doubt mccain shows such an apathy towards those who solicit sex.
4. The real reason these issues persist are not just Obama's tepid denials and ongoing relationships, but the surprising, festering sore of black racism in black churches.
People are surprised and rightly horrified that any thinking person would listen to such crap. Most of us thought that such preaching disappeared with the racism of the 60's, but instead, it looks like bitterness and unforgiveness and black against white racism have taken root in the communities who no longer really have a justifiable grievance against society. It's, for a lack of a better word, crazy.
5. The reason that the libs don't pursue the sexual dallniances of the McCain guy is because, like the racism of Wright, they approve of such things.
And there is a festering sore beneath that sexual incident – that of the rampant promiscuity and anonymous sex of the gay community, and libs don't WANT to make that an issue, because like the problem of black racism, libs want to make excuses for such things. Like Obama and racism, they don't think it's a big deal, or they actually approve of it.
"And there is a festering sore beneath that sexual incident – that of the rampant promiscuity and anonymous sex of the gay community, and libs don't WANT to make that an issue, because like the problem of black racism, libs want to make excuses for such things. Xactly. Like the firearm issues in Philly, etc. Black gangbangers(for the most part)are the problem, not the Bill of Rights. The lib answer is to rob freedom from those who are not part of the actual problem, raise taxes and then throw good money after bad. Liberal philosophy allows for decay so that when problems mount they have excuse to restrict and tax, enslaving the masses.
When you have this as the basis of your political philosophy, and it being so obviously wrong, does it really surprise anyone that the most left of the leftists would have such questionable dealings? The leftists do not consider personal responsibility and the act of judging something as either good or bad as philosophically viable. Its a philosophy based on feeling not judgment by right and wrong. That is why Bommy acts as if these questions are "distractions" and not viable worries. It goes against what he has been taught, its alien to him.
cin, i listened to the interview and responded. repeating it doesn't amount to an argument
Seeker, you have yet to respond with any substance, not rhetoric. The fact remains, if you're trying to link Obama's ideology to his associations, then why not also McCain? It's equally ridiculous to intimate Obama advocates racism as it is to intimate McCain advocates bathroom sex. Both scenarios are idiotic. What do you have to say about that?
Also, make a post about McCain so I can meet your challenge. Do you have a problem doing this?
Seeker, you have yet to respond with any substance, not rhetoric.
Are you kidding? I gave you five points about why it is NOT ridiculous. You tell ME about McCain's racist, terrorist, anti american friends, or whatever you can dig up. I'll be glad to consider it.
But only if it shows that he shares their sentiments like obama shares those of wright etc. If you can't see the difference here, then i can't help you with any more arguments.
"You tell ME about McCain's racist, terrorist, anti american friends, or whatever you can dig up. I'll be glad to consider it."
No problem. Write a post then.
ok
seeker, a thought on an older story, kinda ties in with the bomb throwing and mud slinging aspect of comments here. If it has been covered here already, cool.
The LA Times buried a story(most assuredly other left wing rags too)about five months ago on HRC's body person, Huma. Supposedly, per what has been leaked out, Huma, as stated above, is HRC's personal attendee. A person of Indian/Pakistani descent, of the Muslim religion, and possibly her lesbian lover. Vid below.
(that is Huma, dark hair, Gucci bag, left hand side of screen)
A few weeks ago, during a segment on the Bill O'Reilly show, I think Bill may have eluded to this story. When all of this radical background stuff started surfacing about the Obamessiah, he was discussing how stories surface of course during polis run for office. He eluded to the story by saying something like "Theres this story thats out there about one of the main players in the presidential race"…on that order anyway. I get the feeling it may have been the Huma angle he was speaking of.
Of course the lesbian angle would not be used by the Dems, and the McC camp would not directly use it, but if all stops are removed here, as HRC is trapped by her political ceiling and Bommy is mired in personal responsibility issues(trench warfare), I wonder if we may hear more about the issue as a weapon against Hil, playing on the war/Islam/pillow talk issue. If, of course, this story is more than just rumor.
This conversation has now descended about as far into the sewer as it can go. In fact, it is merely a part of something I have been dismayed to see being played out nationally: the neo-McCarthyism being deployed by the right, elements of the media, and, even, the Clintons. This "guilt-by-association" and baseless accusations and rumor-mongering should make everyone ashamed to be an American. "Are you now, or have you ever been, a hater of America? Are you now, or have you ever been, an elitist? Are you now, or have you ever been, a lesbian (gay)? Are you now, or have you ever been, an elitist? Are you now, or have you ever been, a Muslim?" It's not only sinister, it's stupid. It's politics by character assassination and personal destruction.
Of course, we can't expect intelligence from a mental Neanderthal like Ben, but Aaron and seeker should know better. It's disgusting.
Its nazi pharisee, louis.
Neo-whata-what? Self-responsibility does not exist for Bommy? For HRC?
For Mac? We are suppose to excuse these dolts? Pleeeeeeeeese.
Also, the story carries the problem of our CinC possibly having a lover who is Islamic with ties to the Middle East. It would be like McC sleeping secretly with a Saudi prince. Its a matter of national security. And the story seems to be real enough that "reputable" lefty news papers have silenced it for the time being. Don't be a doofus, man.
Libs feign digust anytime their own pet causes are criticized. Easier to call everyone else stupid than to face their own self-serving illogic. This is how they deal with the majority who see through their self deceptions, like atheism, evolutionism, and their faith in statism.
Now, the clinton story may be beneath contempt, but i think ben's point is that even if it WAS a real story about, say, radical muslim infiltration of the dem party, the lib media would be slow to cover it due to their pro-gay, muslim-ignorant bias. That's an interesting accusation, and nowhere near the sewer. Just near to lib affections.
Obviously, louis hasn't really been to the real idea sewers, like the daily kos, which has had such illuminating content as world leaders performing oral sex on gwb.
I agree that parts of the far left engage in similar McCarthyist tactics (which I also condemn), but that still doesn't excuse what you guys are doing to Obama. I'll stick to my position on this one. I have yet to see the MSM do a similar hatchet job on McCain. All we hear about is the insinuation that Obama hates America and is a Muslim sympathizer who harbors a hidden-agenda. It's baseless nonsense designed to obfuscate the real problems which need to be discussed. But, of course, the right (along with Hillary) is all too happy to destroy Obama with such tactics. Things really haven't changed much since the 1950's.
btw: I'm not a "lib." I am not "feigning" disgust. And I'm the last person to indulge in self-deception (if you haven't noticed). Just because you wallow in your religious absolutism (a form of self-deception, btw) doesn't mean you get to accuse those of us who disagree of bad faith.
"Obviously, louis hasn't really been to the real idea sewers, like the daily kos, which has had such illuminating content as world leaders performing oral sex on gwb."——->
The far left(and creeping all through the dem party)has a disgusting and dangerous philosophy. So be it. They are on a suicidal and self-destructive course. It makes me smile, because the very things which Bommy states I would surrender if only I could see that the nanny can do such a much better job than I at running my life, sustain me.
There is nothing new about Bommy. Meet the new leftist, same as the old leftist.
BTW: If I would ever want to listen to anyone who thought they had insight into America, but is of foreign birth, would be Mark Steyn.
