Here’s a list of books I have either read, purchased, or added to my Amazon wishlist on science. They are all highly rated, and interesting to me. Enjoy.
The Pure Society: From Darwin to Hitler
by Andre Pichot- Darwinian Fairytales: Selfish Genes, Errors of Heredity, and Other Fables of Evolution
by David Stove - The New Answers Book
by Ken Ham - Evolution Exposed: Your Evolution Answer Book For The Classroom
by Roger Patterson - Science and Grace: God’s Reign in the Natural Sciences
by Tim Morris (Author), Don Petcher - Science and Faith: Friends or Foes?
by C. John Collins - Unnatural Enemies: An Introduction to Science and Christianity
by Kirsten R. Birkett - Science and Christianity: Conflict or Coherence?
by Henry F. Schaefer (Author) - Creation As Science: A Testable Model Approach to End the Creation/evolution Wars
by Hugh Ross - Who Was Adam?: A Creation Model Approach to the Origin of Man
by Fazale Rana, Hugh Ross - Faith and Reason
by Ronald H. Nash - The Ten Assumptions of Science: Toward a New Scientific Worldview
by Glenn Borchardt - Doubts About Darwin: A History of Intelligent Design by Thomas Woodward
- Billions of Missing Links: A Rational Look at the Mysteries Evolution Can’t Explain by Geoffrey Simmons
- The Soul of Science: Christian Faith and Natural Philosophy by Nancy Pearcey
- Faith, Form, and Time: What the Bible Teaches and Science Confirms About Creation and the Age of the Universe by Kurt P. Wise
- Thousands not Billions: Challenging the Icon of Evolution, Questioning the Age of the Earth by Donald DeYoung
- In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood by Walter T. Brown
- Science & Its Limits: The Natural Sciences in Christian Perspective by Del Ratzsch
Hmm. Seems a little slanted towards the anti-evolutionist side of the scale. How about these from Evangelicals who see no conflict between the evidence for evolution and an Evangelical expression of the Christian faith:
– Francis Collins “The Language of God”
– Richard Colling “Random Designer”
– Gordon Glover “Beyond the Firmament”
– Darrel Falk “Coming to Peace with Science”
– David Wilcox “God and Evolution: A Faith Based Understanding”
– Loren and Deborah Haarsma “Origins: A Reformed Look at Creation, Design, & Evolution”
Also, anything by John Polkinghorne or Alister McGrath is good.
Great list…I’ve read several of them myself. The ID/creation science/evolution debates are fascinating, no?
I especially enjoyed Walt Brown’s book. If that one doesn’t get you thinking about the issues in this debate, nothing will.
