Steve Camp has a great post entitled What Brings Satan Pleasure? that is a must read. His list is right on target. Here are my personal favorites from his list:
- When men of God abandon the preaching of the gospel to become "would be politicians" consumed with the political affairs of men
- When the preaching of God’s Word is substituted with relational anecdotal experience, personal happiness programs, and human potentiality makeovers
- When sin is called sickness; when disobedience is called disease; and when adultery is called addiction
- When irreconcilable differences becomes an acceptable reason to break the covenant of marriage
- When church discipline of sin ceases
Read the whole thing.
I bet Satan starts winning when "Christians" slander gays. I bet he's loving that.
Steve camp is definitely outspoken and "uncompromising." He is a little harsh and narrow for me sometimes, but in general, I think what he says needs to be said.
And when calling immorliaty "sin" is to be called "slander" I'm sure Satan is very happy. In fact, we should just call it hate speech and be done with it.
In fact, I think if anyone criticizes anyone ("George Bush is stupid and evil")or uses satire or makes moral judgements ("there are too many white males in positions of power") they should be accused of hate speech.
No, I think Satan's only happing when Christians are proposing restricting the freedoms of some peoples because other peoples think they're the world's moral superiors.
