My Two Cents (09/25)
- Crikey! Today’s wootcast has a funny tribute song to the Steve the Crocodile guy (the one that died recently). Click the grey daily wootcast bar.
- Evolution of Religion: Get ready for a conference that is a naturalistic evaluation of religion. Wait – is this the evolution of religion or the religion of evolution? Sounds like both.
- Evolution: IDTF has a good post on how evolutionists are not really empirical in their approach to data. Rather than seeing what the data indicates, they force it into their model, or with slight of hand, make it "fit" their model by invoking unproven, almost metaphysical and intelligent qualities to evolutionary processes. They defend their explanatory devices as being honest enough to "improve their model" as more data comes in, but IDTF argues that what is really going on is that evolution is the a priori assumption, so ALL data must fit it (and of course, data that can’t be made to fit is ignored as spurious). Convenient truth?
- Civil Rights for Roaches? PETA takes animal rights to a new level with it’s desire to shut down a roach-eating contest because it is cruel to roaches. No kidding.
